According to the Korean government’s 11th Basic Plan for Electricity Supply and Demand, the domestic share of renewable energy generation is projected to rise from 9.0% in 2024 to 29.2% by 2038.
As national policy continues to drive renewable expansion, grid flexibility and stability have become increasingly critical.
With synchronous generators based on fossil fuels gradually retiring, the power system faces reduced natural inertia and voltage support, presenting new stability challenges.

Key Features
  • Fully integrated system solution—including supercapacitors, GFM-enabled Power Conversion Systems (PCS) and a Grid-Forming Energy Management System (G-EMS).
    Provides virtual inertia to maintain frequency stability during sudden grid disturbances, strengthening overall system resilience.
    Enables black-start capability, supporting emergency grid restoration without relying on synchronous generators during system-wide outages.
Application
  • Stabilizes the grid by supplying virtual inertia and mitigating rapid frequency deviations in the event of grid faults.
  • Supports independent system restoration (black start) when traditional synchronous generation is unavailable.
    Facilitates greater renewable energy integration and reinforces system flexibility, directly supporting evolving national policy objectives.
