Power Cable R&D Center

The Power Cable R&D Center of ILJIN Electric was established in 1995 and has since been engaged in the research and development of power cables and accessories, including joints and terminations, from medium-voltage to extra-high-voltage applications.
We developed extra-high-voltage AC cables and a 320 kV HVDC cable system, obtaining Type Test and PQ (Pre-Qualification test) certifications from KEMA, an internationally accredited testing organization. We are currently developing a 500 kV-class HVDC cable system and conducting the corresponding official certification tests.
In parallel, we are focusing on the development of various products, including eco-friendly cable solutions with enhanced capacity, and are actively expanding a globally competitive business portfolio through close collaboration with external partners.
Moving forward, the Power Cable R&D Center will continue to strengthen its quality competitiveness to ensure the highest level of product reliability and fulfill its role as a core research organization that delivers superior value and satisfaction to customers.
