Technical R&D Center

Established in 1987, ILJIN Electric’s Technical R&D Center has grown in step with the development of the domestic and global heavy electrical industry for nearly four decades.
Drawing on extensive research experience, the Center develops key power equipment installed in power plants and substations — including distribution‑class switchgear and GIS as well as extra‑high‑voltage GIS — and plays a leading role in strengthening transmission and substation infrastructure.
To address emerging needs in the heavy electrical market, we are actively developing next‑generation products that integrate advanced technologies, such as eco‑friendly E‑GIS and intelligent sensor solutions.
In parallel, the Center continues to advance its proprietary technologies and promote industry–academia–research collaboration, positioning itself to remain a core player in the evolving transmission and distribution equipment industry.
